I am the gatekeeper of my destiny.
The part where the Confederate prisoners are an extremely talented orchestra/choral group is pretty funny.
Dicks out for humanity.
And the cats in the tunnel with the eyes that move
Little boy in blue and the asthmatic dude
When you gonna be a Dad I don’t know when
But we’ll get to Exit 8 then
I’ll finally get on the train then
This is like every game night where the person explaining the rules remembers you go again on doubles but forgets the part where once you start you can’t stop unless you finish or die.
More like five incoherent plots in one movie.
THIS IS BERK!
I saw the theatrical version when I was a kid, didn’t know about the play, thought it was a silly 80s comedy with some good songs. Then I saw the play, and realized oh wait, this is like a legit Greek tragedy but for America. Then I saw the director’s cut of the movie and was like oh wait, this is a Greek tragedy but with 10 minutes of plants destroying New York at the end.
4.5 stars for the directors cut. Theatrical cut I might give something like… 3? It’s just nice to see people get what’s coming for them, you know?
Behind the other tombs were really sweet water slides that old Ben Franklin designed.
Predators will literally hunt a Kalisk instead of going to therapy.
Reminds me a lot of 80s movies with robot/alien “friends” integral to the plot, but with modern cinematography and plot timing. Stays true to the book while cutting out a lot of the middling parts, and ends up being an enjoyable all-ages kind of film.
I thought it was better than Wolfwalker’s but my child said otherwise. I gave it at least + half a star for the silly faces the seals make.
“what the fuck”
Yul Brenner’s accents are like at least 5 of the 7.
Fun film that explores the Boston / Ireland dynamic (everyone from Boston saying their Irish is full of shit).
Better than the first one but mainly because I will never not find Yoshi eating something and popping out an egg hilarious. Also lots of good nods to Mario 2 and some fun “2D” animation bits.
I watched this Freshman year of college and thought this is what early adult life would be like and instead I got 9/11 and cell phones.
